De Freitas Music Group (DFMG) is a multi-disciplinary music and audio production company founded by Chris De Freitas, working across film & television, records, podcasts, live production, and artist development.

Founded on a background that spans both high-end studio work and global touring, DFMG was built to bridge the gap between creativity and execution — bringing together production, technical expertise, and real-world industry experience under one company.

After graduating in 2017 with a BA (Hons) Music Production Degree from Leeds Beckett University & San Diego State University, Chris began his career working in rehearsal and recording studios before progressing into international touring, working across all areas of live production through to Tour and Production Management. Working closely with artists, managers, labels, and production teams helped shape a calm, solutions-driven approach that now sits at the core of DFMG.

One of DFMG’s most recent work is its ongoing collaboration with Andy Burrows across his composition, scoring, and artist projects. Together, Chris and Andy established Red Brick Studios and are developing Free Pass Records — an independent label owned by Andy, working across record production, film scoring, and artist development.

Recent projects include Ricky Gervais’ Alley Cats (Netflix), scored by Andy Burrows and produced & mixed by Chris. He also became the series music editor, working closely with Ricky and the wider production team.

Doc Brown’s ‘Cartwheel’ is another hilarious and brilliant project, produced and mixed by Chris, expanding into a fully realised live show through technical production design from DFMG Live.

Combining studio craft with large-scale production experience, DFMG offers a flexible and modern approach to creative production — able to take projects of all forms, from initial concept to final delivery.
